Molding
Aciéries Hachette et Driout has several molding lines for single-unit, small, and medium series parts. The maximum size of the frames is 4×4 m².
The second production unit line workshop (NU2) includes three molding areas, equipped with a mobile mixer, allowing three molds to be made simultaneously.
Sand regeneration installations enable the recycling of molding and core sand.
At AHD, three distinct types of sand are used :
Chromite sand
Mix sand
Fill sand
Casting
The production unit line 1 (NU1) workshop is equipped with a 4-ton capacity induction furnace, while the NU2 workshop has a maximum capacity of 12 tons (an 8-ton furnace and a 4-ton furnace).
We also have two AOD (Argon Oxygen Decarburization) units for steel refining, allowing us to produce a wide range of grades. The AOD units have nominal capacities of 4 and 8 tons.
An integrated laboratory ensures the quality of the metal throughout its production process.
